The Spahr Center will hold its first Marin LGBTQ+ and HIV Advocacy Day Jan. 23

An essential element of The Spahr Center’s work is to assure that Marin County government, including its various human services agencies and schools, is a full participant in efforts to assure the well-being of some 13,000 LGBTQ+ people and people living with and affected by HIV.  While services certainly exist for our communities, especially LGBTQ+ mental health and HIV care and prevention programs, much more needs to be done to expand their scope, effectiveness  and funding.

On January 23, The Spahr Center will hold its first Marin LGBTQ+ & HIV Advocacy Day.  Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to join us for meetings with County elected officials and department heads, as well as school officials, to strengthen policy and funding.  If you are interested in more information, or want to join us on for this exciting day, please email or call 415.886.8551
