Food For Thought / Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank
The mission of Food For Thought is to provide nutritional support to people living with AIDS/disabling HIV disease. From our food bank located in downtown Forestville, we supply groceries to over 300 men, women and children each month. A typical grocery order includes a variety of canned and boxed groceries, fresh produce (often organic), vitamins and minerals, nutritional supplements and meat or vegetarian protein. Delivery to clients who are home bound is offered on a weekly basis. Nutritional counseling is also available, as well as the occasional hug. All this is offered at no cost to our clients.
Food For Thought is a volunteer-driven grass roots organization. Volunteers
are needed all year. A no obligation meeting for potential volunteers
is held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7 p.m.

North Bay Wanderwomen is a loosely knit group of women, based in Sonoma & Napa Counties who like to get together for hikes or casual bike rides in the North Bay Area and San Francisco. Positive Images
Weekly, confidential support meetings for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youth. Positive Images was created in 1990 by Jim Foster, MFCC and Beverlee Laird, PFLAG, to provide advocacy, support and information to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youth of high school and college age. Positive Images also provides education, training and assistance to health professionals, agencies and educators who deal with youth. Meetings provide a safe place for confidential discussion. The Positive Images office hosts the only resource library for Sonoma County focusing on GLBT youth. The library consists of books, magazines and informational videos and is available by appointment to everyone in the community.

PULSE is a new social group for young gay, bi, and curious men ages18 to 30 in Sonoma County that aims to bring guys together, empowering them to build a community for themselves, promote safer sex practices, and form positive social connections.
Every month, PULSE hosts large events - such as picnics, parties, and community forums -as well as smaller events - such as bowling nights, video nights, and café chats - that bring guys together for some good old fashion fun, socializing, and all around good times.
With the help of volunteers, PULSE is creating a dynamic, safe, and supportive environment for meeting other young gay, bi and curious men in Sonoma County; one that will strengthen our community, our well being, and ourselves as individuals.
