‘Call & Response’ Art Exhibit at the OCA Gallery

Enjoy this invitational exhibit featuring creations by renowned local artists Dave Gordon, Adam Wolpert and Victoria Wagner. Exhibit runs Friday, June 8th through Sunday, July 29th; gallery open Fri-Sat-Sun 11 AM to 4 PM.

“Travel Sketching” Class with Patrick Fanning
Six Sundays from 10 AM – Noon, begins July 1st!
This class will teach you how to make fresh, lively sketches on location, finishing a complete composition in a matter of minutes. Topics include choosing materials, recoding light direction, hatching and shading techniques, accurate perspective rendering and more!
Patrick is the author of “Travel Sketching: Creating Lasting Memories with Pen and Pencil”. He has been chronicling his travels in sketchbooks since the early nineties.
This class meets over six Sundays (July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 12); each session begins with an orientation in the OCA Classroom, then participants proceed outdoors to nearby locations for demonstrations and practice. $100 for the series; includes a copy of Patrick’s textbook “Travel Sketching”.

Those Were The Days: William Florian

OCA is pleased to welcome back the former singer for the New Christy Minstrels, William Florian as he presents ‘Those Were The Days: The Spirit & Songs of the 60s’. Enjoy an upbeat musical journey through America’s greatest folk and pop songs of the 60s, including hit songs he performed with the New Christy Minstrels.

Come to the OCA Cabaret and enjoy our classy celebration of this unique holiday with the evocative sounds of two French music trios extraordinaire!
La Guinguette (Al Hass, Christine Lelaure and Robert Lunceford) will take you back in time to the French and Italian street cafés of 1900-1960s. Un Deux Trois (Josh Fossgreen, Lisa Iskin and Robert Lunceford) play a unique mix of traditional French music, Bal Musette from the cafes of Paris, and original compositions.

Mariah Parker’s Indo Latin
Jazz Ensemble!

Mariah Parker is an accomplished composer, bandleader, pianist and santurist. Her world class jazz band features Grammy award-winning woodwind virtuoso Paul McCandless (Oregon; Paul Winter Consort), Matthew Montfort (pioneering guitar master of Ancient Future), bassist and cellist Kash Killion (Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor), and global percussionist Ian Dogole (Hamza el Din).

French Oak Gypsy Band features the vocals of Stella Heath with Gabe Pirard on guitar, Jimmy Inciardi on saxophone, Zach Morris on drums and Skyler Stover on Bass.
