Gary Carnivele July 11, 2018

Please join North Bay LGBTQI Families and H Peace on Monday July 16 at the old courthouse square at from 6-7pm for a demonstration supporting reuniting families and discontinue separating families! We will have speakers discussing how the separation affect health/ mental health and the community at large. We will be walking as a group to La Rosa for the fundraiser after. La Rosa Tequileria and Grille will be donating 10%of all sales the entire day so please make sure to stop by. There will also be a container where donations an be dropped off if you can’t dine or choose not to. The container will be there all weekend as well. Hope to see you there!

H-PEACE is a local healthcare activism group in Sonoma County committed to being more civically-engaged. We aim to help to foster an understanding of the impact of policies on health, address racial disparities, protect access to healthcare and full spectrum reproductive health services, defend environmental and social justice. The effects of xenophobia, discrimination, and intolerance have grave effects on the health of our communities and we partner with local community organizations as our voices as healthcare professionals are a powerful community resource.

North Bay LGBTQI Families represents and welcomes all LGBTQI families of the North Bay, and we center the intersectionality of the various struggles our families experience as LGBTQI, Immigrant, Black, Brown, Native, Undocumented, Differently Abled, and beautifully diverse folks. (Intersectionality- “the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.”)
