Announcing the Billys’ Spring Gathering at Saratoga Springs, Lake County May 7th  to 11th – Sowing Seeds of Resilience. In these troubled times we need to strengthen our communities and remind ourselves of past successes in civil rights, promoting diversity, inclusion and equality. We also need to share strategies for protecting those hard won civil rights.

 The Billys are asking that your organization will include this gathering call and/or information (attached) in your online, on air and print publications and post on your bulletin boards. We offer scholarships for our gatherings 

The Billys were founded in 1988 to provide community to gay men, to provide support to those living with AIDS in isolated , rural areas and to assist with AIDS prevention and education in coastal northern California, particularly Mendocino and Humboldt Counties. Some consider the Billys to be an off-shoot of the Radical Faeries.

Over time the Billys informal membership has grown to include 1000s of gay, bi, FTM trans and queer men from all over California, the US and even internationally, but primarily the Bay Area and the north coast. Some of our events are open to Billy Kin, those who don’t identify in the previous gender categories. Some notable members of the Billys include Dave Hall, John Torres, Scotty King, Buzz Bense, Richard Locke, Harry Hay and John Burnside.
