Saturday, September 27 at 7 pm. the pickPocket ensemble at Occidental Center for the Arts. Inspired by many world musical traditions, the pickPocket ensemble inhabits a country all their own. From the street corner to the concert hall, the pickPocket ensemble has created unique and original contemporary chamber cafe music that one might hear in Bogota, Prague, or Paris. To listen to the pickPocket ensemble is to embark on a journey. Yet for all its wide-ranging inspirations, the pickPocket ensemble’s music remains intensely personal and immediately engaging, an invitation to listen in on an intimate conversation.
