Fox pundits enraged that Obama praised women leaders without being transphobic

Gary Carnivele October 2, 2026

A Fox News commentator slammed former President Barack Obama for saying women should run the world because he “has never for us defined what a woman is.”

Political analyst Katie Zacharia told Fox Host Laura Ingraham that Obama has no business complimenting women’s leadership skills when “his administration was quite hostile toward biological women.”

His trans-inclusive policies, she claimed, negate his ability to respect and believe in the power of women.

“So I want to first ask, what is a woman, Barack Obama? And who are you gonna put up as a woman? What if it’s a man who identifies as a woman?”

Ingraham then joined in, mocking inclusive language by saying, “It’s a birthing person for president.”

The pair was reacting to comments Obama made while speaking at Salem State University over the weekend. He said as president he “sometimes fantasized about, if you put women in charge of every government for like two years… I have a strong belief that things wouldn’t be perfect, but they’d be better. I’m confident about that.”

The audience reacted with thunderous applause.
