The Australian government is to import 450,000 monkeypox vaccine doses to help tackle a rise in cases. Health minister Mark Butler told reporters on Thursday (4 August) the government had negotiated at least 450,000 doses of the third-generation Bavarian-Nordic vaccine to be prioritised for specific at-risk groups including gay and bisexual men. Europe’s first LGBTQ+ youth support centre has reopened in Manchester after a massive redevelopment effort. Record number of Americans back same-sex marriage as Supreme Court fears grow

Support for same-sex marriage has reached an all-time high in the US, according to new polling. Seventy-one per cent of Americans said they support same-sex marriage in Gallup’s annual Values and Beliefs poll, released Wednesday (1 June). This is one percentage point more than last year, and the highest level of support since Gallup began asking Americans about marriage equality in 1996. That year, just 27 per cent of Americans supported same-sex unions. Oklahoma’s Republican governor signs cruel bill banning trans kids from using correct bathroom

Republican governor Kevin Stitt has signed an anti-trans bill into law that bans trans students from using the bathroom that matches their gender identity. Stitt signed the law on Wednesday (25 May), which applies to pre-kindergarten through to 12th grade public and public charter schools in Oklahoma.
