We are very excited to announce that the 8th Annual Translife Community Conference will be taking place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Finley Community Center in Santa Rosa, CA, and… for the first time ever… it will be ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY 100% FREE TO ATTEND.
The Community Conference brings together transgender and gender-expansive individuals from the North Bay to increase connections, share information, provide support, and experience joy with one another. There will be educational workshops, socializing, discussions with legal and medical professionals, networking opportunities, and much more!
This event is for transgender and gender-expansive individuals and their parents/caregivers, children, and partners/spouses ONLY. It is not an allies event.

Tortillas and Salsa Making Workshops Salome Arenas returns to guide you in making handmade tortillas and preparing salsa in a molcajete. ABOUT THE SISTERS’ GRANTS FUND
The Russian River Sisters’ Grant Fund is managed by a committee of Sisters. Grant funding requests are accepted only via the application form on our website. Grant Fund applications are reviewed and evaluated by the Grants Committee. In evaluating an application, we consider the nature of the request and how relevant it is to the needs of our local community. We do not approve grant requests for salaries, honorariums, personal or travel expenses. We also do not approve requests from organizations outside of our sphere of influence.
In the decision process we look at how the applicant’s usage of the funds granted would serve the Russian River Community. Show us what you have in mind! You may also include pictures, diagrams or
other supportive documents to help us understand your ideas.
Please note that we receive many requests and there are no guarantees your application will be approved.

Headliner: TammyTeaLove Born in Brooklyn NY; raised in L-A! And Got her Game from the Bay! (Oakland, CA). Her first break was with “Academy Award” and most importantly “NAACP Image award-winning Actress Mo’Nique, at the San Jose Improv. Tammy has been working in comedy since 2007. On most nights, Tammy is found working the stages telling her authentic life stories “her own way.” Tammy’s life stories are relatable, while being unapologetically herself.
Sydney Stigerts With her blonde pompadour and blunt sarcasm, Sydney Stigerts established herself in the Sacramento, CA comedy scene at a young age. She delights in skewering her millennial peers almost as much as she likes mocking her queer community. On stage, she is high energy, relatable, and would love to tell you a story.
Natalie DiazSonoma County’s Natalie Diaz is making her mark in the Bay Area comedy scene. She won the “So Your Friends Think You’re Funny” competition at Barrel Proof Lounge and recently performed at the Novato Comedy Festival. Raised in rural Northern California, Natalie brings a unique perspective on the absurdities of life to the stage and delights audiences with her infectious energy.

All LGBTQIA+ youth, families, adults, and elders are welcome at Social Saturdays, which are a recurring series of monthly events taking place throughout Sonoma County where we are seeking to bring community across generations, particularly gender expansive youth, teens, and adults.
At our February gathering we invite you to come join us at the library for art activities, music, storytime readings and games. There will be a special storytime with Frida and Friends where they read a variety of stories of different genres in both English and Spanish!
