New Bud Light Pride Bottle to Raise Funds for GLAAD

Bud Light has released a limited-edition rainbow coloured aluminium bottle to raise funds for GLAAD to celebrate World Pride. The bottles will be available in bars across the United States during the month of June, and Bud Light will donate $1 to GLAAD for each case sold up to $150,000. Graphic new evidence has emerged of the torture of gay men at the hands of authorities in Chechnya. The new evidence comes from the most recent crackdown of the LGBTI community. Earlier this year new reports revealed Chechnya had conducted another round up of LGBTI people in its ‘gay purge’. Authorities rounded up about 40 people and detained them at the Grozny Internal Affairs Department in the region’s capital. Two people died as a result of torture. Angola Becomes First Country to Decriminalize Gay Sex in 2019

Angola on Wednesday (23 January) became the first country this year to decriminalize gay sex. Lawmakers finally implemented a bill to overhaul to the southwestern African country’s 1886 penal code. They dropped a ‘vices against nature’ provision which was historically used to prosecute against gay sex. The new code also bans discrimination based on sexual orientation in employment. Woman Sentenced for Brutal Murder of a Homeless Transgender Man

The woman who instigated a deadly Burlington beating was sentenced Tuesday. Myia Barber was charged, along with four others, in the murder of Amos Beede, a Transgender man, last year. His family members battled back tears and detailed their great pain after the violent loss of their loved one. “Everyday I cry.
