‘Shorts On The River” to Offer A Great Program of LGBT Short Films as a Kick Off to Sonoma County Pride
Kick off Sonoma County Pride 2016 at the Rio Theater on Thursday, June 2 at 7 pm, with this fabulous collection of short films. Including work by Bay Area filmmakers, , these richly diverse films entertain, provoke and inspire. $10 at the door. The program is sponsored by Mocking Bird Used books, which has locations in both Sebastopol and Guerneville
Shorts at the River films include Queer Habits, about our own Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence; Calpernia Addams stars in Transproofed, a comedy about getting ready for a “straight date”; Partners takes us into the world of LGBT square dancing, with a nod to the local Redwood Rainbows Square Dance Club; 11 Lessons from an Awesome Old Dyke just proves that there’s always something new to learn; Tradesman’s Exit features power tools and great one-liners.
