Face 2 Face Recognized for its 40 Years of Service

Gary Carnivele December 27, 2022

In 2023 we will achieve 40 years of HIV prevention and support in Sonoma County. F2F began as a grassroots movement of caring and compassionate people who came together to provide love and support for people living with, and dying from, AIDS. Over the years our work has evolved and is currently more important than ever.

We’ve had a chance to reflect on the lessons of the pandemic and make strategic decisions about how to best serve our community in the future. We went out into the community and determined a real need to reach those that are most vulnerable. With specific goals in mind, we embarked on our very first capital campaign to raise funds for a mobile van.

Soon, we will be launching our all-electric mobile van which will enable us to expand both our prevention and care services. While our van is being retrofitted for our specific needs, our care and prevention teams are hard at work getting ready to put their plans in motion.

With our new van we will be able to provide the following services remotely:

  • HIV Testing
  • Prescribe PrEP, the daily pill to prevent HIV
  • Harm Reduction including Syringe Exchange
  • Provide Naloxone Kits to reverse overdoses
  • Meet clients to assist with financial support, case management, legal & medical advocacy and more

But in order for us to expand these programs, we need the support of people like YOU! With your contributions, we can end HIV in Sonoma County. We can help reduce the number of overdoses in Sonoma County. And we can find housing for clients and provide them with what they need to thrive.

We invite you to join us as we take our work on the road and help us to be certain that we begin from the strongest position possible.

Will you contribute to this effort today? We truly appreciate your support of our work through the years. If you have already given this year, a heartfelt Thank You
