Trans editor sues DreamWorks over harassment on Bad Guys 2

An editor who worked on the animated film The Bad Guys 2 is suing two major entertainment companies behind the project — DreamWorks Animation and NBCUniversal Media — alleging anti-trans discrimination during the film’s production. Parker Goldsmith, who is transgender, filed a lawsuit against the companies in California state court last week, alongside several people who worked on the film, including former editor John Venzon. New York City Council advances resolution opposing Stonewall Pride flag removal

The New York City Council has advanced a resolution urging Congress to protect LGBTQ history at Stonewall National Monument after the Trump administration ordered Pride flags to be removed from the site. HIV drug’s Medicare costs under negotiation

The federal government is negotiating lower Medicare prices for a popular once-daily pill that treats HIV and prevents infection. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said Tuesday it seeks to lower Medicare costs for 16 medications by negotiating with their manufacturers. Among them is Biktarvy, a drug taken after HIV exposure — known as a post-exposure prophylaxis — to prevent HIV infection as well as a treatment for those living with HIV. Gilead Sciences makes it. Ex-Steelers employee alleges antigay, sexist discrimination in lawsuit

A former employee of the Pittsburgh Steelers has taken the football team to court, alleging she faced discrimination on the job due to her sex and sexual orientation. Chelsea Zahn worked for the Steelers from 2013 until 2024, when she left her role of corporate sales manager. In a federal court complaint filed January 13, Zahn alleges she was mistreated, paid less and denied promotions because she is a gay woman. “Pittsburgh is Steelers town. Maryland judge: Trump’s DOJ can’t have trans youth hospital records

A federal court has denied the Justice Department access to youth medical records from a gender-affirming care provider in the D.C. area. Last summer, the Justice Department sent subpoenas for medical records to 20 hospitals nationwide that provided minors gender-affirming care, including Children’s National Hospital. The facility stopped prescribing minors gender-affirming medication soon after. Eight families who accessed medical care through the hospital’s Gender Development Program filed a motion to quash the subpoena last November.
