  Puerto Rico is reeling from the massive destruction brought by Hurricane Maria, but you can help. Ricky Martin has launched a crowdfunding relief effort, raising at time of writing nearly $1 million, but it is a general fund for all victims. GLAD and NCLR Join in EQCA Lawsuit Against Trump’s Transgender Military Ban

Equality California announced today that the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) and GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), the LGBT legal organizations leading the fight against the Trump Administration’s transgender military ban, have joined as co-counsel in its lawsuit challenging the ban, Stockman v. Trump. Equality California is a plaintiff in the suit together with seven individual plaintiffs who are currently serving or have taken steps to enlist. Nearly a Quarter of Americans Think Homosexuality Should Still be Illegal

A recent Gallup poll found that nearly a quarter of Americans still think gay sex should be illegal, two years after the legalization of same-sex marriage. 23 percent of respondents to the poll said “gay or lesbian relations between consenting adults” should not be legal. California High School Students Take on ‘Sexist’ Dress Code Policy
