Man in homophobic, racist In-N-Out TikTok video is arrested on hate crime charges

A man was arrested on hate crime charges after police said a TikTok video showed him hurling homophobic and racist remarks at a Korean-American man and woman dining at a California In-N-Out Burger.  Jordan Douglas Krah, of Denver, Colorado, was taken into custody Monday by San Ramon police and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility on two counts of committing a hate crime, a police news release states.  The arrest stems from an incident on Christmas Eve at an In-N-Out Burger in San Ramon. Indonesian soldiers jailed for having gay sex as anti-LGBTQ+ crackdown continues

Two Indonesian soldiers were kicked out of the army and have been sentenced to seven months in jail for having gay sex. Gay sex is currently legal for civilians in most of the country, according to the South China Morning Post, however it is banned for members of the military. Ireland has been ranked the worst place in the EU for accessing trans healthcare, with the system being “bogged down by waiting times” cited as an area of concern. Transgender Europe (TGEU), a network of more than 200 trans-rights organisations, found of 27 EU member states, Ireland had the worst provision of healthcare for trans people, with Malta coming out on top. It hit me one morning this fall as I woke up: I’ve turned 70. As I’ve been celebrating this milestone, I’ve marveled at the changes that have occurred for our LGBTQ community during my lifetime.
