This flag has flown on campus since 2019 as part of a student-led effort. Its removal appears to have happened without public notice, community input, or a school board discussion or vote. We have found no agenda item or public explanation for how or why this decision was made. At a time when LGBTQIA+ students are feeling increasingly targeted and unsafe, this public action sends a dangerous message. Visibility matters. Belonging matters.
