Chick-fil-A’s Foundation Still Donates to Anti-LGBTI Causes

American chicken chain Chick-fil-A is still directing donations to organizations with anti-LGBTI outlooks, new tax filings released today (20 March) show. The fast-food chain has taken great strides to downplay its record for donating to homophobic groups in the past. But 2017 tax filings show the chain’s charitable arm, the Chick-fil-A Foundation, donated $1.65 million to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which imposes a ban on ‘homosexual acts’ on its employees. Japan Must Stop Forcing Trans People to be Sterilized

Japan should stop forcing transgender people to be surgically sterilized, Human Rights Watch said on Wednesday (20 March). The rights group released an 84-page report detailing the harm caused by Japan’s Gender Identity Disorder Special Cases (GID) Act. According to Japan’s law, two ‘respected medical professional’ must first diagnose a trans person with ‘gender identity disorder’ before they can apply to change gender.
