An internet forum where people pretending to be parents forcing their children to be transgender has gotten shut down after it was found to be full of fake stories. As the U.S. plunges even deeper into a moral panic over children who are supposedly being forced to transition, some anti-transgender people are reacting to the fact that that never happens by making up stories about it and trying to pass them off as real. Lawmakers in the Pennsylvania House have passed a bill that would ban trans students from competing in girls’ and women’s sports – despite the governor’s promise to veto it. In Japan, Police refer trans woman to prosecutors for using women’s bathroom

Prosecutors are considering pressing charges against a transgender woman who used the women’s public restroom in Osaka, Japan. According to Osaka Prefectural Police, a customer complained that a transgender woman in her 40s was using the women’s room at a commercial facility last May. The customer told employees that she couldn’t use the restroom out of “fear” because “a man wearing women’s clothes was using it” and the employees called the police.
