Transphobic Cartoon Appears on Washington Post, Drawing Social Media Backlash

A political cartoonist whose cartoons are syndicated by The Washington Post Writers Group published his most recent cartooon, and it’s drawing criticism for being transphobic. United Airlines Adds Non-binary Booking Options

United Airlines has become the first major US airline to introduce non-binary options on its booking forms. The airline announced on Friday (March 22) that in addition to ‘male’ and ‘female’ booking options, customers will now also be able to pick either U (Undisclosed) or X (Unspecified), corresponding with markers available on passports and IDs in some areas. Nation’s Largest Christian Charity Has Given Tens Of Millions To Viciously Anti-LGBT Hate Groups

The National Christian Foundation reportedly raised over $1.5 billion in tax-exempt donations in 2017 and a lot of that money is being devoted to groups which advocate for imprisoning LGBT persons around the world. Chick-fil-A’s Foundation Still Donates to Anti-LGBTI Causes

American chicken chain Chick-fil-A is still directing donations to organizations with anti-LGBTI outlooks, new tax filings released today (20 March) show. The fast-food chain has taken great strides to downplay its record for donating to homophobic groups in the past. But 2017 tax filings show the chain’s charitable arm, the Chick-fil-A Foundation, donated $1.65 million to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which imposes a ban on ‘homosexual acts’ on its employees. Japan Must Stop Forcing Trans People to be Sterilized

Japan should stop forcing transgender people to be surgically sterilized, Human Rights Watch said on Wednesday (20 March). The rights group released an 84-page report detailing the harm caused by Japan’s Gender Identity Disorder Special Cases (GID) Act. According to Japan’s law, two ‘respected medical professional’ must first diagnose a trans person with ‘gender identity disorder’ before they can apply to change gender. They must also be over 20 years old, unmarried, not have any underage children. The results of the world’s biggest ever HIV prevention studies revealed the drug, Descovy, was as good as Truvada when it came to preventing HIV.
