If faith is a journey, Reverend Caroline Morison has taken the scene route—one with a few unexpected detours, a military escort, and a very well-placed tube of mascara. Long before she was among the first openly enlisted transgender soldiers in the U.S. Army National Guard, Caroline was an “Army brat” raised on duty, discipline, and a globe-spanning childhood.
