Ohio’s governor vetoed a bill Friday that would have restricted both transition-related care for minors and transgender girls’ participation on school sports teams. Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto makes him one of only two Republican governors to veto a restriction on gender-affirming care, alongside then-Arkansas Gov. Trailblazing transgender psychiatrist Jeanne Hoff has died

Jeanne Hoff, a trailblazing transgender psychiatrist, died at her home in San Francisco at the age of 85 this past October. Born to a working-class St. Louis family in 1938, Hoff received a master’s in science from Yale and a medical degree from Columbia University, the Advocatenotes. Kentucky’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Law Brings Misery to LGBTQ+ Students

Kentucky’s version of a “don’t say gay” law is creating many problems for LGBTQ+ students — and the parents and teachers who want to support them. In March, the state’s Republican-majority legislature overrode Democratic Gov. New Jersey Devils Troll the NHL by Wearing LGBTQ+ Pride Jerseys in Spite of Ban

The National Hockey League banned players from wearing themed jerseysduring warm-ups, but they didn’t say anything about wearing them before warm-ups. That’s the loophole that the New Jersey Devils are exploiting as the organization marks its LGBTQ+ Pride night on Thursday.
