California district to pay $360K to teacher fired for not following transgender policies

A Southern California school district reached an agreement to settle a 2023 lawsuit from a former teacher who refused to adhere to the district’s gender identity-related policies. Harvey Milk’s birthday, May 22, is officially a Day of Special Significance in California. Other states also honor Milk. Milk was the first openly gay man elected to public office in U.S. history. Fremont, California man convicted in Grindr robbery & assault
